Whether you're looking to become a master welder and turn this skill into a profession, or you're someone who simply enjoys welding as a hobby or side gig, we have a program to suit the needs of anyone! Welding classes, however, are very different from what one may be used to from their days in high school or college. We combine hands-on and classroom learning to help you further your knowledge and gain new skills in the trade. Here's what you can come to expect in a welding class from Crider's Institute of Welding Technology.
A 20-week course involving 500 hours of classroom time and hands-on instruction will keep you very busy. Devoting 25 hours of your week, Monday through Friday, may seem daunting, which is why there are various shifts we offer to accommodate everyone's schedules. You can choose a morning class, an afternoon class, or even an evening welding class that begins at 5 PM.
You should never be held back from education or a career simply due to pricing. The cost of our master welding course is $16,495, and we understand that may be difficult for some people to dish out. This is why we offer several financing options such as vocational rehabilitation, veterans administration, Skill Up, and more. Additionally, you won't have to worry about purchasing gear, textbooks, tools, or materials, since all of this is included in the cost!
Our curriculum is broken down into different segment hours that progress throughout the length of the course. Some of these chapters are shielded metal arc welding, gas metal arc welding, fabrication layout, blueprint reading, and countless others. The objective of our lessons is to give you tangible experience in a variety of areas in the welding industry so you can leave our class feeling confident in your abilities. According to the American Welding Society, by the year 2025, the U.S. will be faced with a shortage of more than 400,000 welding professionals, so these skills will be essential if you're interested in a welding career.
In addition to the program itself, we understand that you may need housing during the duration of the class, and we are happy to help you find a place to stay while under our instruction. Our master welders go above and beyond to teach you the necessary skills and techniques to go above and beyond in your future career. If you're ready to get started with our welding class, don't hesitate to call Crider's Institute of Welding Technology to make further inquiries about the program and sign up today!
